Back on the Wrist Again!
So, bear with me here...long story. (Or just skip to the pics, lol)
Weight-wise, been on a losing streak for a while, and it finally caught up to me in my watch bracelets. I've had to adjust just about everything I own, which has been a tedious process. (I don't like messing with the spring bars in the clasp...keep meaning to order one of those fancy spring bar tools, but have never gotten around to it.) So, I took my beloved DD40 in to my AD see about taking the 1.25 link out and replacing it with a regular link. Unfortunately, the link was hopelessly stuck (excessive loctite grr), and their on site watchmaker (who is very good), recommended sending it in to the Service Center. OK. So they sent it in for me, and life goes on. Well, just got the call it was ready so I head over to pick it up this weekend. My jaw dropped when I was reunited with my baby. They not only fixed the link problem, but had given the bracelet a touch up. Literally looks like a brand new watch. When I say immaculate, I'm not exaggerating. Not only that, the link swap was just what the dr. ordered and it fits perfectly now. Can't say enough good things about Cory, and the AD, Davis Jewelers. They covered all the charges involved so basically I was handed a brand new watch that fit perfectly out of the box free of charge. (Well not exactly, but you know what I mean ) Oh, and while I was there I had my latest acquisition, the CHNR, adjusted. (Like I said, I don't do spring bars ) All in all, a very productive day. And before you ask, of course there are pics. Have a great Monday and rest of the week, TRF! |

It is amazing, my friend. My biggest gripe with the DD line has always been the lack of micro adjustment, but man...this may be the best fitting watch I own at the moment.
Now begins the battle to maintain and not gain or lose any more weight. Hmmm.... |

I can imagine what a great feeling it is to have such fine pieces fitting like gloves once again. Glad the service experience was top notch.
Now, go enjoy them in great health! |

Two beauties right there Larry! I get you on the spring bars, I used to change mine all the time but haven't done any for nearly a year now, so recently when I tried a strap change I was a bit rusty and slightly clipped my finger, thought not much of it, and finished putting the strap on and then looked down and saw blood on my shirt and table, like a horror movie, the slippery little suckers can cause mayhem.

My experience has been equally as horrifying, yet in another way--to have the little suckers shoot off into space (they have amazing tension built up inside) and search frantically for hours for them. Nearly impossible to find, might I add. |
