Rookie OP Question...

I wear my OP 24/7 so it is getting plenty of movement for the rotor however when I take it off to set the time (so far, in the past 1.5 months since I purchased it, it's gaining around +1 second each day, no complaints!) is it okay to also manually wind it, and if so -- how many turns?

Thank you-

-Scott

If you’re wearing the watch all the time, there’s no need to do so.

Exactly.. No need to wind it wearing 24/7 If you let it run down to a stop give it forty winds for a full reserve, however you can't overwind it. 1 second per day is well within cosc specs so your good. No worries...

You can't do any damage by giving it a few winds if you choose.

Naturally, there is no way of knowing if your watch is at, or near full wind, so you would have to wing-it.

I think I just went about 6 months without winding my sub. Daily wear, nightstand at night. Never stopped, kept time fine. Just wound it the other day for the hell of it.
