Submariner bracelet question
My watch fits good, but I think I'd like it a looser on my wrist. Is there a "perfect" or an "ideal" position for the spring load bar in the clasp? Or can it be at anyof the four openings for a good bracelet fit?
Thoughts from the experts?? Thanks from a newbie. |

You should use the position that gives you the best fit...
From an engineering perspective, I would feel uncomfortable with using the outermost hole because the lateral load would be entirely on the ends of the spring bar and the edge of the hole... a weak position.. If the bracelet is further into the clasp, then lateral loads will be shared by the sides of the bracelet against the inside of the clasp shoulder.. But, sometimes I over-think stuff............

Find what works best for you. On my other bracelets I usually try to center it in the adjustment holes and figure it out from there. I have the new easylink in my 78200 bracelet and that is the best thing since sliced bread. You can go from loose to tight in 2 seconds on the fly with no tools. |
