Harrods Theft of 2 AP's
Brazen theft from Harrods London. At least it wasn't from some poor souls wrist.

I wonder what two models they had in stock for him to try on in the first place? Guessing it wasn't the white ceramic PC they have pictured in the article.

I think one of them probably was the white ceramic. Harrods have some nice watches and that is exactly the sort of watch they would have access to. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The article says both watches retailed at 94,000 GBP. They were definitely heavy hitters, whatever they were.
I can't believe the stupidity involved in even attempting this. Harrods is like a casino...there's always somebody watching. |

Police are out checking for social distancing violations so many criminals will try to take advantage, at least wrist thefts should be at a low as no one should be out for long enough.

If he’s on trial now then the theft was at some point last year so that will have been when demand was at its peak and it’s not indicative of the market today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I don't go into Harrods much nowadays and can't recall how close the AP boutique is to an exit, but if the store security is as good as it used to be I'm surprised he got out the door, assuming the AP sales assistant immediately reacted, which surely they would've done.

Chris the boutique has moved across to the opposite corner to where I think Rolex used to be. There must have been a real lapse in security. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Thanks, Ash, I didn't know that. If you asked me I'd say that Harrods is the least likely store that anybody would dare try such a thing, but perhaps that's why he (on the day at least) got away with it.
