Much nicer watches to be looking for than the Daytona imho.
You're right. I chased the Daytona for 6 years - when I got it it didn't sing to me- I sold it to a relative within a week! All about the retail chase...

Sorry my man even at the new rrp they are still very hard to get hold of. You might want to consider a grey dealer if you cant wait.

My local AD has had the very same LV in his window for well over a year now, original price was £2950 now its £3950! its the same with quite a few other models that are not selling, so I am sure they will cut a deal! no more SD in stock though!

Thanks CharlieC, I think I will ring around a few more ad's in the UK. I just realised it was actually easier to get my birkins than it is to get this watch.Lol!!

The only reason I am looking for a ss daytona (might think about the wg or yg) is because I am in the market for a new watch and was thinking about getting a j12, but thought I might as well go for the HG while I have all my own teeth.

Just as a thought, you might want to consider the TT model - it's not significantly more expensive, but it's far easier to find, plus you get a bigger choice of dials

Thanks GMT Master Chris, I guess I am a sucker for punishment, I would rather aim high, I am thinking about the everose or yg daytona if I cannot get the SS.
It is funny, but I have a battered tag and a santos golden anni as well as other watches and I think I actually got the santos from one of the posters here called tempoking, how bizzare (I am going back like 7/8 years)!!

So that is why I dont think a TT would work for me, I have 2 tone watches already, a plain one in rose, wg, yg, ss daytona would be cool

That's fair enough then, the 18Ct Daytona models are stunning watches, particularly the Everose, and there is a scope for some pretty decent discount, perhaps more so on the YG model. Good luck hunting for your SS one though!

Thanks The GMT Master Chris, I have called a few ad in london, but of course no good, they dont know me from adam, so they will not help, I will call some ads in the countryside and see what I can find. I am loathe to call in favours from friends for this watch unless I really have to, it doesnt sit too easy with me asking friends to sort it when they could be losing their jobs, so will carry on reading this site and see what happens!!
