new ss sub changes
I just got off the phone with the local AD about the new subs and changes coming out. He said he talked to his vendor or whatever they call them and said the next change will the the steel and gold in the next year or so and then the ss will be a couple of years after that. that means if he is correct we are about 3-4 years from the change on the ss. Anyone else hear anything about this schedule? That means I might need to be calling some out of the area ADs who are aggressive with the discounts on the subs because mine is not. Any help is appreciated.

The chances are that your AD doesn't really know anything..
The current speculation is that at Basel next month, Rolex will unveil the TT Sub with it's latest Cerachrome bezel because that is the way they released the GMT II ceramic models. Gold first, TT the next year, and SS last. If this is the scenario, then TT models will be on the shelves in time for Christmas this year, and we would see the SS models at Basel next year, then on the shelves by Christmas 2010.............But, Rolex has NEVER given this information out beforehand... to anybody....let alone an obscure AD... As for discounts.....can't help you there........ SS models are hard to find discounted, although you can almost always find discounts on TT and Gold models.
