Personally, I wouldn't do the deal if they planned on keeping it. I don't buy with the intention to flip, so I may or may not need it right away, but it is still mine. If I financed the watch, I wouldn't have much argument in them keeping it until I pay it off, but if I pay in full, that warranty card is my property, same as the box, manual, and all the bracelet links. Where is the line drawn in what they can keep?

Holding onto the card without your written consent would (at the very least) be perceived by the BBB as a fraudulent sales practice - At the very worst, an investigation from your State Attorney Generals office could follow..... |
