New member here. I just got my new one about 3 weeks ago. I had an Explorer II for two years, traded it for some work on my house, but found it hard to live without. I went in to buy the GMT II Coke model, but fell in love with the Sub. I love this forum, lot's of useful information and lot's of wonderful pictures. Thanks for all the great posts.

Got one!
I picked up my 16610...LV in oct 2005....I saw the Sub at an AD in Greece that summer and decided that it´s the watch for me.......the one and only Rolex I have bought brand new from an AD. It´s a keeper.....even though my wife borrows it alot.
When I wear it...I use it as a tool watch..no fuzz

JJ the Sub was my first Rolex back in 1971. I had 4 so far, 3 Dates , one ND, all SS, but have none at the moment. But a LV + black insert will be my next purchase, originally planned for last October but postponed due to the "crisis".
So for the moment, I settle for my GMT, and keep changing bezels and straps to ease my bitterness,

Mine is a U series, purchased in 1998. It is my favorite Rolex.
