Not happy with Las Vegas Tourneau
Been here all week. Went to buy a watch for my wife. She took forever. Finally picked out a movado and pick up an Invicta pro diver beater watch. They discounted the watch and gave me a two year warranty then brought the watch back up to oringinal price. Went to put it on my Tourneau account. They said it cant be done because the watch was discounted. The guy went ahead and worked up the sales ticket for non promotional. Went back next day to buy another watch tried to do the same thing they said we can not do it. The other guy got in trouble for doing that. So I walked out. Im just gona deal with my local AD back in Delaware.

They have too many restrictions at Tourneau, drives me nuts!! You should have strolled across the street to the Rolex Boutique in Wynn or paid a visit to Horologio in the Venetian.
I have never bought anything from Horologio, however I can attest that the sales staff is extremely patient and knowledgeable of their product offerings. During one of my many visits I had a salesman tour me through the whole store and provide me with informational tid bits about each watch brand. It was a very very informative visit. -Frankie |

With the limited experience I have, I would not buy a Rolex from Tourneau. They have this weird policy that if you spend $50k at their store, they can get you a SS Daytona. If I had that money, I'd certainly spend it elsewhere and still get the Daytona.

Indeed, courtesy is severely lacking when us younger WIS-es are after a watch - I got treated like dirt at H. Samuels when buying a £100 Rotary beater, I would have gone somewhere else if anywhere else stocked the particular model I wanted

Four days ago I walked into Tourneau in Huntington, Long Island. The salesman and manager were friendly and helpful. About an hour later I walked out sporting new Submariner ND COSC at 10% under MSRP. I will do business with them again.

Tourneau in Vegas tried to sell me a fake back in 2002.....I've sent an email to Rolex but it was never replied. I hate them. Vegas is the worst place in the world to buy a Rolex.

I was looking to trade in my DJ and they came out with a perfectly fake Sub 16610. It was an incredibly good replica, nice and sturdy steel.
They brought out the box,old one,no papers and just the anchor... The watch was really perfect, except for the fact that the second's hand was totally wrong(short, bad movement) Stickers were only on the sides and not on the bracelet,no laser hologram (it was 2004) and the dial was not shiny black enough. Thank god I was a WIS already...someon else could have been easily tricked... I've asked them to show me a display TT Sub they have and they just almost passed out... Manager was shaking....all the other employees left the floor ( Rolex section was upstairs back then). Got my deposit back and left...with my DJ. |

Delaware? There is a very agreeable, family-run AD a bit north, in East Petersburg, PA [Free shipping avoids tax].

Ill look them up in petersburg when I get home on Monday.
Ill also go to the Venetian tomorrow. I was in the Wynn a couple of days ago. They had a S/S GMTII. The lady was nice. Their was another post the other day where a guy just wanted to go out to the watch store and talk watches. I think he called it Rolexing. I would like to know a little more about other watches and thier history too. More power to me when I walk in. Also I was in Tourneau in King Of Prussa PA. We were talking about watches. The sales guy thought I had a sub until I told him its a seadweller. He said not everyone ownes a SD. Just dont see them. I was looking at Breitling Avenger Chrono. Polished S/S. Grey face. Working on my next watch. Looking at DSSD,GMTII,Breitling avenger. I tried on the deepsea. Its big next to my SD. But that would be another watch not everyone has. Would like to do it before the next price increase. Before it goes over 10K. |

They are pretty friendly at the wynn, but are rigid with prices.

I was in Vegas a month ago. I was astounded at the sheer number of high end watch stores there. I'm used to some very deep discounts on my watches and not a single Vegas dealer could match my normal percentage off MSRP (by a long shot, BTW) so there was no way I was going to buy a watch from any Vegas dealer.

X2. They are a BIG chain and have very little local flexibility but they do have some. As a reg. customer I get decent discounts and great service. My experience on watch buying in Vegas all stems from reading here. My impression is that they capitalize on the impetuousness of tourists and stay close to retail. Suspect the vast majority of buyers will buy a watch and never come back, thus no need to nurture relationships.
