Tudor Maxi Rose 7016 Submariner Unpolished

Offered up for sale is one of the rarest pieces in my collection. It pains me to do this but I’m chasing a couple of other pieces right now.

This is an unpolished Tudor Maxi Rose Submariner, reference 7016, serial 624,9xx, dating the watch to 1968.

The Maxi Rose dial is a very rare variant of the reference 7016. They were only found between serials 623,xxx and 624,xxx.

This dial has the same characteristics of the non-Maxi 7016 predecessor, except that the size of the hour plots are much larger, with some even touching the minute markers.

I believe that the Maxi 7016 and the blue snowflake 7016 are the two rarest Tudor Submariner variants, as production runs were very short.

This is a collector grade example as the dial is free of any marks or scratches, and the case is unpolished.

The watch comes with a C&I rivet bracelet, with very little stretch if any.

This is a stunning example, with significant vintage wrist presence, as the maxi lume plots and the lollipop seconds really pop in the flesh. These seldom come up for sale.
