Any wrestling fans?
I watch it with my kids. Watched it growing up.

I loved it back in the day, especially when WCW was a thing.

Big fan growing up. Remember Snuka vs. Backland, Sgt. Slaughter vs. Iron Shiek. Can’t forget Cindy Lauper. I could go on and on. I actually went to MSG for a cage match. Had seats by the ring. I couldn’t believe how enormous the wrestlers were. Add there size, and athleticism, I’m impressed.

I recall thinking I was Snuka, when I jumped in the pool. That didn’t last long, due to painful landings.

I watched too . . . . . but just to identify the models of Ric Flair's solid gold Rolexes.

Watched it when I was younger. The WWF used to come to town 2-3 times per year in the 70's/80's. When I went in the 80's I'd get ringside seats. Saw Superfly, Tito Santana, SD Jones, The Wild Samoans, SGT Slaughter vs The Iron Sheik, Macho Man, Hulk Hogan. You name it they came here and wrestled. The absolute nicest one of them all was Bob Backlund. He was the champ at the time. He signed for every kid until the line was gone. The undercard matches had started and his guy kept telling him they had to go. He just stayed and talked to and thanked every kid that was waiting for him.

Spiros Arion “The Golden Greek”.
That was great ‘theatre’ in the 1960’s.

Unless you grew up in the uk in the 70s & watched a Big Daddy via Giant haystacks wrestling match - you’ve never lived. |

Yes. Wrestling was Awesome. British Bull Dog, Boss Man, Legion of Doom, Dudley Brothers, Crush, Papa Shango, 123 Kid, Ted Dibiosey the Million Dollar Man etc etc etc. Great entertainment as a kid. No where near what it was like back then. A bunch of Steroid Freaks in leotards on Coke. Awesome stuff.

I liked it as a kid when it was still WWF.
My favorites were the British Bulldogs. While my siblings liked Hart Foundation. |

I’ll watch some of the pay per view stuff with friends who have kids. Not the same without the crowd. AEW is actually really good competitor. Have some really good wrestlers.

Ric Flair is the reason that I got into watches. His "Rolex wearing...." line from the 80s hooked me. I was a big fan from the mid-70s until the late-80s.
As an adult, I was actually an Executive Board member for the Cauliflower Alley Club (a charitable foundation that helps indigent, retired wrestlers) for about five years and got to meet and become friends with many of my childhood heroes. |
