Everyday use for your rotating bezels

Just curious to find out what other usage you have for it, in your everyday life.

Switching back and forth between the DS43 and the new EXP 2 Polar, have recently found the rotating bezel to be very usefull, especially timing the milk intervals for our new born.

I guess this has been covered in the past here but I did not seem to find that thread.

Cheers!

You mean these bezels actually move I was in the impression after reading hundreds of posts on forum, they had to be left permanently within a cats whisker of the 12 O'clock marker.

The GMT is a useful drinks counter on a ‘boys night out’. Remember them?

Ok Peter.

I’ll give it a try.

But if I can’t get it back to exactly 12 you are for it.

This may be a shock to those who have TAO (triangle alignment ocd), but I actually use mine for its intended purpose! Imagine that! (It’s an everyday use!)

(Look on the chapter ring for the Bremont’s adjustment)

I also use it for timing the cooking of eggs (soft boiled, for dippy eggs and soldiers!) and timing parking meter expiration (though the new phone apps have that covered now)! Though the Bremont has another useful complication for that function!

You simply turn the bezel to line up the pip on the dial marker to indicate the day of the month

Drive times, Zoom call reminder, 2nd time zone, laundry, delivery reminder, to name a few of the endless uses of a rotating bezel.

I've been using my Sub when I grill. I set the bezel as soon as the meat hits the grill. No more trying to remember what time I started or calculating time on. I now know how long the food has been cooking at a quick glance!

I finally got a chance to put your suggestion to the test at a friend's cookout last weekend. All I can say is BRILLIANT! Worked great. As I am attempting to be on a diet right now, it is even more handy. I log 'em all in my calorie counter app. Now I'm going to have to always wear my GMT to tailgates and parties from now on. I owe you one for this!

It's an occasional low action fidget spinner where the clicks can trigger an ASMR. Also when my tube journey is delayed, it works great as a marker for claims. It's probably beneficial to give it a full rotation after prolonged periods of inactivity in order to maintain the reliability of the mechanism.
