Any one own a DD40 YG with white dial?

Can’t find many images other than the Rolex site. Just floored by this piece. I’m getting the PM itch. Not good, not good

A nice model Frank.

But I only have the baby white Roman 36mm.

Wonder why they skipped some of the Roman numerals on the bigger dial?

Good point, I never noticed that about the romans. Does your 36 have them all?

It’s because of design and layout. They also use IIII instead of IV

My favourite DD, the Roman numerals look stunning on the white dial with the YG.

Thanks Brian.

I had some options when I decided on a DD but I preferred the Romans ‘right way up’ and slim.

I was given the DD40 with Romans but didn’t like the lack of numbers. Much preferred the full set / smaller format on the 36. That said, ended up going sticks because I also preferred lume.

Does anyone know the explanation as to why Rolex doesn't follow actual Roman numerals? I have no idea why it is, but I'm sure there some logical explanation.

Are you referring to the “watchmaker” 4?

4 and 9, but you've already pointed me in the right direction. I was not familiar with the term, thank you.
