about diamond dial or MOP dial

I saw the previous Rolex dial catalog.
Why Diamond "G"
Is "NG" for the MOP+diamondl?

Do you know anyone?

Not sure of the designation code, but I’m loving my diamond and MOP dial.

Thank you.

But the pictures don’t do it justice, I’m really surprised you don’t see more of them, they are each totally unique.

Dial codes for the specialty dials with diamonds and a single letter, like G, is for 10 diamonds or A for 8 round diamonds with 2 baguettes.

Also some go to two or three letters. I don’t know what the NG means nor have a list of the mnemonic ones but you can probably see that the third letter on some is the gem type. E, emerald; S, sapphire; R, ruby; etc.

You might also notice that for some plain ones without gems it is two digits. From an old post made years ago:

1x = Silver
2x = Champagne
3x = Black
4x = Steel
5x = White
6x = Blue
7x = Bronze
8x = Pink
9x = Mother of Pearl

x0 = Index (Stick)
x1 = Unknown/Unused
x2 = Sunbeam (Roman)
x3 = Roman
x4 = Bi Color Dial (Index)
x5 = Jubilee (Roman)
x6 = Maxi Arabic
x7 = Index (3,6,9 Arabic)
x8 = Waves (Arabic)
x9 =Sunbeam (Roman)
