FS Tudor Submariner MN74 Marine Nationale
Tudor Submariner Marine Nationale MN74, serial and model number are clear, case back marking is good and the watch has no bracelet wear as you would expect from a watch that spends it life on a NATO strap. The lugs are in fine shape and the chamfers are still visible, the case has the wear you would expect from a watch that has spent most of its life with the Marine Nationale.
The dial is the black Swiss only that is found on the early examples, the dial is not perfect but is original to the watch. A set of Tudor snowflake hands have been re-lumed (non glowing) to be a better match for the dial and the the hands that were on the watch when I bought it are included in the sale. I would guess that these hands were replaced during the Marine Nationale service dated in the copy of the ledger in 1982. The original insert is a nice faded mark 3, the pearl is worn away but part of the original Tritium is present. The movement has been cleaned and serviced by my Rolex trained watchmaker. Included in the sale are; the original domed crystal that is cracked, the original Rolex 702 crown that was worn and the snowflake hands that were on the watch when I obtained it. A nice example of an original watch that is well know with Tudor experts and confirmation of its authenticity can be provided. The serial number appears in the Marine Nationale ledgers and a copy is included, it has a nice Bulung and Sons strap with a Rolex buckle, £17500 please contact [email protected] for more information about payment and shipping/delivery Returns accepted after a three day inspection minus shipping costs.
