Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date - a quality 34MM option

After buying and selling a number of Rolex watches I decided that the Date model is right for me. Let me be clear that I love all Rolex models and enjoyed wearing many models over the past 5 years. Nor am I implying that one model is better than another. However this smaller Rolex just fits my style.

If you own an OP Date or are thinking of one here’s some interesting information about the this model:

The OP Date uses the iconic 3135 movement. Only two models in the Rolex 2020 catalogue use this movement, the OP Date and Submariner Date.

Historically the “Caliber 3135 has powered some of Rolex’s most famous icons including the Datejust 36, Date 34, Submariner Date, Sea-Dweller, Deepsea, and Yacht-Master 40” (Bob’s quote from: History And Evolution: Rolex Caliber 3135 Vs. Caliber 3235). Outside of the current Submariner Date the other models have moved to the 3235 70 hour reserve.

Here’s a Date cut/paste from Rolex online.
