I’m liking the offshores and Divers more than the RO SS!?!?
I feel like I’m going thru a “weird” phase and I’m liking the ROO and especially the white diver more than the classic RO.
Weird to like what you can actually get as mere mortal. I never understood why people would buy a diver or ROO vs a 15500 but the more I try them on and now that I own a ROO 42mm which I love more by the day, I am really starting to lust after a 44mm ROO. Especially since my wrist is over 8 inches. Anyway, goes to show you to not be just an Instagram warrior and try on watches in the flesh even if they are not considered “hot”. Of course I still would like a classic RO 15500, especially because of the lovely bracelet. |

I am not sure if this is "weird" at all and wonder if it has something to do with the current times we live in.
I have two RO's (15202 and 26315st) and I love them and they aren't going anywhere. However, starting in March when all the craziness started, I found myself drawn more to "casual" watches that better suited working at home and just not going out very much. I started looking a lot at the ROOs, which in the past I pretty much always dismissed. I have added the Ghost and have another ROO on order. I am not sure if this is a "trend", but I think it's just a validation of your passion that you're looking for watches that suit YOU and the way you're living. |

I passed over a 15400 in black, silver or blue in favour of the black diver.
As much as I like the look on other people’s watches, and think the diver looks especially awesome on one, metal bracelets just aren’t for me. A lot of people seem to be driven to buying what others are, but not subscribing to that is not weird at all. As everyone keeps saying, buy what you like !

The 44 would be great for you, I love it, it is pure sports and yet has so many Haute layers and levels of finishing, esp in PM, and compared to some like RM at a very reasonable price point. AP describe the ROO in particular as sports prestige and I think that is spot on. In truth in the dressy sports market I prefer PP to AP and the aesthetics of the rounded octagon.

With your wrist size, not rocking a ROO would be a crime... Beautiful watches but only look good on certain people’s wrists. You need the correct wrist size and attire to pull it off but when done properly, there are few watches that make a statement like the ROO.
I plan to pick one up one day (probably 42mm for my 7.25” wrist) but just haven’t come across the right ROO for me yet. |

I have two Royal Oaks (15300 and 15450) and two Offshores (15710 and 26480). I prefer the Royal Oaks as I like the simplicity of the design and clean dial, but I wear the Offshores more because they are more fun. I also really love the slightly oxymoronic nature of ROOs with the level of finishing and polished edges sitting on a rubber strap.

I like royal oak 15500st for the timeless elegance, 15202st for the history, 15407 (any material) for the over the top craftsmanship, and 44mm ROO TI for everyday and 44mm ROO RG because it is one of the very very few watches (RM being the other one) that i always lusted after in PM.
There is nothing wierd about any of this, watches are not logical, they are emotional purchases. Just as you are now liking ROO you will see a lot of purists bash ROO for being over the top and disgusting. Usually its people who wear a tie all day or can’t pull off the look. It’s not a look for everyone and thats just fine with me... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

You all make very good points. Especially the purists that always say the movement is nothing special in the ROOs and the design is over top but once you wear them they are a lot of fun for sure.
