I'd go with the DSSD (which I did!).

The Daytona is small and the Milgauss GV is even smaller! Neither have a date-function.

With regards to the Milgauss GV, how the hell can you justify paying a $2000premium just because the crystal is green????????????

Ok, just read the original thread. Not knowing if you have already spoken with the AD about your new version of your purchase I would stay with the original course. If the AD has already worked the numbers on your multiple purchase he might not be so inclined to transfer it to the single purchase. Guy probably wants to move his inventory what better way than selling 3 at one shot. On the other hand if memory serves me I believe that someone once posted that an AD has more room to bargin with precious metal watches. Either way what it really comes down too is what smiles at you.

This is a really good question for watch nuts to discuss and one that I've pondered a lot myself. Most of the time I like variety and lean towards the "3" answer. No question though that you can only wear one at a time and there is something to be said about more precious models.

If I could expand the question a bit to answer it more precisely. I think you should devote your watch money to getting enough variety for different situations. For example, I'm among the few here that doesn't think one should wear a SS Sub or SDDS with a Tux etc. I also think there is a place for a chrono, a high end quartz model and a pure dress watch in a collection before you start spending really big bucks.

I have the quantity of watches that I want, and will devote future resources trading a model I have toward one that I like better and it will probably be a bit higher up the price spectrum than the old one. For example, trading my SS VC OS for this RG one is likely my next step. I stay with a chrono and the brand diversity, just get one that I like the look of a bit more. Yes, the leather strap will change when it's worn, but I have sport options so it won't be a big loss. That's my thought process anyway.

So if you think you'll own three or more watches, I'd buy "3." Wear the SS Daytona for awhile and trade it in toward the WG model if and when the mood supports and the resources allow.

I guess I'm the odd one out, but I'd get the WG Daytona (actually I'd do YG or RG) instead of the three. I just think the all gold Rolexes look way more stunning than the SS models. Plus, I think you could get a better discount on an all gold model.

You too, had no real premise to extend the arduous litany of comparison to which combination of discount/metellurgy ratio's exsisted, if any, by which to premise this particular thread and as so far been presented could and shoud've been left in the original thread - all so I could get my hologram in the time allotted which you have "kibosh'd" now, thanks very much, man if I find my bat !

EDIT: For very imp info; gold rolexs in ANY combination, lost their values from 14 to 20 percent in the first year as they pass from the sweaty palm of the AD to the cold hand of buyer ! (or is it the other way around??)

I understand your point, but you are an adult right? You do have to made other decisions on your own from time-to-time?
In essence your question can be rephrased to "Please tell me what I should like?" I gave you my two cents, but I think you can understand why some have little patience for what should be a personal choice you have to make in the end. What you plan to buy, what you own now, what excites you the most, how much dough are you going to spend on watches are all factors you know and we don't. About a million permutations of the above make the conditional answers endless and thus boring.
I think you will also learn that the "it's my thread, stay away if you don't like it" doesn't work too well around here.

Just something to help you understand the terse answers you'll get. Good luck !! Tell us, better yet, show us what you buy.

Edit: The more I think about it, I'd never buy three watches at the same time. Dilutes the enjoyment, plus it ties your hands if you decide you'd rather buy other brands or models.
