Panerai discount in Australia

Wondering if there's any Aussies here that can shed some light into what discount should be achievable on a Panerai through an AD, not the Panerai Boutiques. It's my first Panerai. Likely something like a 372.

Many thanks in advance.

Not in Australia, but you can get significant discounts on this model used. I got roughly 40% off an excellent condition model a few years back. If you are purchasing from an AD, I'd ask as much as 25%. As you probably already know, boutiques won't discount at all. This is more or less the global trend I have seen on these models.

My friend recently placed a query on a Pam 683 from one of the major ADs and was offered 20% off right off the bat. I think 20-30% is achievable right now given the low-watch sales.

Sorry Makak, I have nothing to add, but if you do end up getting one, would be really interested in knowing what discount you were able to get. I suspect it depends on it not being limited edition.

I'll let you know. I went to the dealer yesterday and they now will only see formal appointments due to covid restrictions with a huge sign on the door. Don't even get me started on that one. There's 2 active covid cases in my state, every other retailer allows customers in.

Omega policy is 1 person/couple per appointment, yet they have 3 sales staff. It's the most bizarre thing I've ever seen. I smiled at the guy when he told me to wait 2 hours. The look on his face was priceless when I responded with "it's just another watch, I'll come back another month". I think the majority of watch sales people in Australia think you're lining up to buy oxygen.

Rant over. I'll go back another day when I know my movements more to actually make an appointment.
