Added to the collection last Friday. Pretty happy with this. I had thought the new model was too thick but it wears well. Might be too thick for a NATO though. Not sure.

I LOVE this watch!!! The Omega Boutique SA told me Omega can only manufacture about 8 of these per month, so they're exceptionally rare to see in person. I found mine in Scottsdale FWIW.

I haven’t posted a pic in this thread in a while so I guess I’m due. I’m still wearing my Ti Planet Ocean daily. This is a great watch. It keeps amazing time, plus 1 second per day, it’s comfortable and easy to wear. I see no reason to take it off.

Is that a blue dial? If so, is it a discontinued model? I don’t see the blue dial moon phase with bracelet on their website. I do see the black dial moon phase with bracelet, but I only see the blue on the leather/rubber strap.

Also, how is the clasp on this model and what type of adjustment does it offer?

I have the same watch, love it. For some odd reason Omega don’t sell this Blue version on a bracelet just the strap however many of us - myself included bought the bracelet separately. I personally prefer it on a bracelet although the strap and clasp is a great combination too, the bracelet is micro adjustable.
The White Gold version of this watch has a magnifier built into the date indicator which is one improvement I wish they did with all their Moonphase models.

As shalako said, this particular moonphase (blue) can only be purchased on the blue leather strap. I added the bracelet after. I actually prefer the strap over the bracelet because I find it to be more comfortable and think it just looks great with this watch. The Omega deployant clasp is terrific. Love how it hides the excess strap under the other side so no need for a keeper loop.

The only reason I got the steel bracelet is because here in the Mid-Atlantic the summers are HOT and HUMID and I'm a sweater. I would sweat that strap into oblivion in a matter of weeks this time of year (it's 96 and humid today for example).

The bracelet has a three slot on-the-fly micro adjustable clasp which I think equates to something like 5 mm of total adjustability. This makes for a nice fit and easy to adjust on hot or cold days.

If you have no interest in the leather strap you could go for the black SS model perhaps?

Thanks for the replies, guys. I really like the look of the blue dial. The black and blue both look great, but something about a moon phase on blue just seems right? I may consider it on the strap as well. Is the strap rubber on the bottom and leather on the top?

Thank you for the info regarding the micro adjustable clasp as well. Sounds like less adjustment than what is on my Seamaster, but some adjustment, which I believe is a necessity.

The strap is gator leather, no rubber. Very light and comfortable but definitely NOT for water use.

The micro adjustment is more for getting the fit just right than anything else. It's not like the Rolex glide lock with tons of adjustment. I use mine occasionally. Basically stays on one setting in the heat of the summer, and one notch in in the colder months. One notch is really all I need. But like I said it's bigger use is getting the fit just right.

All's well here Mike. Hope the same for you.
I'm usually on here every evening for an hour or two. I'm just not a very prolific poster - 367 of 'em since 2006 tells the story.
Your big blue Speedy looks sweet, as well!
