Now I'm just giving you my opinion, no flames! Reading over the original thread, it was just beating a dead horse. We've all done it, and it's no big deal. But I think people tend to get cranky when someone asks for an opinion and then argues (for lack of a better word) when they get it. Then after all that, the "should I get a Daytona thread" appeared. So, I think you came across as wishy-washy. After all that about the three watches, you're changing your mind All in all, $20,000 is a lot of money. A LOT LOT OF MONEY. I'm sure I don't have to tell you that. So, please don't buy anything based on what this forum does or doesn't want you to do. It's very easy to spend someone else's money. And hey, opinions are like a-holes, right? Just relax, enjoy the forum, and decide on a freakin watch! |

Sigh..............!

Seems like 3 might keep you occupied a little longer than just one! You can always trade up with the SS's you don't fancy that much.
HOWEVER, don't buy any watch just because it's a hot item! I don't like the GV and just because it's rare doesn't make me want it any more. |

The WG daytona meterorite dial looks stunning in those pics. At first, I would say three...but now hmm....I still would go with three instead of 1. The 3 are not like crappy models either. I think the three are superb watches and you can def maintain a better value than the meteorite.

Listen, I blew 20G's on Citicorp last year when I thought I was getting a bargain. Now my $20G of Citicorp is worth $2,500.00. I think it is safe to say the three watches will be worth more than that a year from now. Another $250 a year in insurance, and a $1500-$2000 bill for service in about 6 years (since the recommended service interval from Rolex is 5-7 years, I believe). Thursday I meet with the AD, firm things up and hopefully make the deal. BTW, another member on here PM'ed me, asking for my dealer's name. I asked him what he was looking for, and I checked with the AD if he had that particular watch in stock. He did! I put the member in touch with the AD, and hopefully something good will come out of it for the both of them. As I said to the other member, you can mention that you heard he gives good deals, but I asked him to please not discuss the particulars of my deal. Anyway, thats today's news. Peace out. |
