Possibly, but if the economy keeps where it's at, I think Rolex would do a limited kick off so as to control supply and demand.

Hmm, can't say it's new after the AD stamped the warranty card.

Seriously, you got a fair deal. Enjoy them and we look forward to seeing the domestic home coming episode with interest! Maybe you'll need to treat the wifey with a lady president?

Ok, now for some more questions:

1. Think I can ask him to keep the warranty cards open?
2. Has anyone else gotten 20% off a SS Daytna?
3. Do any of the three watches come with a bezel protector?
4. Does the SDDS come with an adjustment tool like they used to?
5. Am I crazy?

1. Yup.....just have him stamp and date........that's what I've always insisted on. I tried to have my AD just stamp it but he refuses to do that. But with your clout, your AD might do it.

2. No experience on that one.....

3. Even an Explorer II now comes with a Bezel Protector. That's to say that the EXP is the cheapest..... All of them have bezel protectors now.

4. No experience on that one......

5. I don't think so......If I have money to burn, I'd go the same way too.

Have no fear Jen, I will get all three next week. Going to wait till Rolex sends the new SDDS. This means there's still life left to this thread! Praise the Lord.

Oh man! You must be patient...

So now... by the end of 2009... you must go deep sea diving, car racing, and find some giant magnets to stand by!

Well, I could dive about one-third as deep as you, but I can't time any cars or play near magnets... so I can only come on one leg of the trip

nuts, no holograms, well, at the time I was hoping the thread would get to 15 pages and everyone was given you the brush off to buzz off or buy and I was bettin the thread would make it to 15 which it did, but for some reason or other I had bet that you'da bought by the trio by page 15 and you hadnt, so that was the kibosh; and thus the end of my hopes for a hologram...

Thanks,
Randy

Forgive me for not reviewing the full 21 pages. BUT, are you planning on keeping all of them?

So you're going to get all 3 even if he won't go below 20.5k or is that positive thinking that he'll go to 20k?

This is just old school courtship in the making, a long romance and eventual Rolex bliss.

My last three purchases have been along the lines of the "get your coat, you're pulled" variety. A lethal combination of adrenaline rush and a wallet in the pocket.

Maybe that's why I have the occasional "divorce" with the usual financial penalty.

As of now, yes, unless someone makes an offer I can't refuse (hopefully without a gun in hand).

So I figured I would ask this here, rather than create a new thread:

How many purchases does it take to create a "relationship" with an AD where discounts are handed out?

I didn't think the GMT-II ceramic was being discounted at all--especially last year--but to get it at 20% off retail is just fantastic. I got mine as a graduation gift, and hopefully will be purchasing the TT or SS ceramic sub within the next year. I know, I could always ask the AD my parents got the GMT-II ceramic at, but I like to do my homework rather than go in blind.
