New OP 34 uses the movement 2232 not the 3230. New RDM is now 55h (not 70h) when 114200 had 48h RDM with 3130.

I have both black and white OP 34 114200. I originally purchased the white OP 34 and loved it so much I added the black OP 34 shortly afterwards. They are both gorgeous in person and in my opinion the cleanest classical design offerings Rolex had at the time. Love them both but have found that I wear the black OP 34 more than white, seems to be more versatile. I would recommend the (old) OP 34 in either color if you can find one on the second hand market. Good Luck!

I love how you bought 2 different dial colours. I am interested in white dial but is also considering black. My only concern is that black dial "appear" smaller, do you find this to be the case in your experience?

What is your take on the new OP 34? Do you regret maybe buying a second OP 34 and instead wish you can get the newer one instead? Interested to hear your thought(s)!

If you have side by side picture, would love to see it! No pressure

I've read that too where folks say black looks smaller and I don't see that at all. They both size well on my 6.5" wrist. I have no interest in the new OP since I have the two already. The prior make has a tried and true tested movement and I just love the dials of the white and black. In my case, I'm more interested in the dial and face of the watch. It's what you look at and see every day rather than the upgraded movement. It's a Rolex and a darn nice one either way. Tried to upload images but can't get it to a format that this forum accepts.

I prefer the old one, nothing beats this dial IMO.

I showed my partner the new 34mm, and she promptly put on her 2017 olive green model. She wasn’t impressed by the new colours.

Wow amazing photo! What is your wrist size if you don't mind me asking? Seems like OP34 looks great on both small and large wrist if I am not mistaken!

Olive Green dial still my favourite colour.
Also is it confirmed the new OP34 has a different case? The original cushion shape was perfect for this size, and made it feel like a vintage 36mm model

I have ordered my OP34 blue dial at the beginning of July, it arrived last week of August luckily. Here is the size comparison: OP34, Date 34 and DJ36

Out of curiosity, does old OP 34 share the exact same case size/shape/lug to lug length as Date 34?

Both OP34: blue and white grape, the blue looks much smaller on the wrist in my opinion:

Looks awesome dude! They are both the same reference number? Which one do you find wearing more?

Both colours were the same number 114200. I could see no advantage of getting the Date 34 and paying the premium for it, as I don't use the date complication much. Plus they wore very similar on my wrist.

The green dial is definitely a beauty. Unfortunate that the white and black have been discontinued. It appears that the prices on chrono24 haven't jumped too much in price.

First post here. New to forum and I enjoy reading everyone's post. Great bunch of group here!

As many of you know, Rolex released a new Oyster perpetual watches. Am I the only person who isn't excited by the release? Color selections reminds me of power rangers, I feel Rolex steered itself away from their classic design this time.

Anyways, I have been been eyeing the Rolex 34 mm (Ref 114200) but it is discontinued now. I was either going to get white, green or black dial...but none of those choices are available. Well, except black since the new OP 34 comes with black dial. I am left with two choice here: buy the discontinued model or buy the new model...I am honestly not sure what to do and wanted to seek advice!

Does anyone know if the new OP 34 case is different from the older OP 34 case? I am trying to find out if they trimmed lug into a slimmer style..I can't seem to find it anywhere although I've read in few post(s) that case is slightly different but I can't seem to verify this. Also, what is your take on the new movement? On paper, it sounds great. New movement boosts 7 more hour power reserve, better anti magnetic protection, etc....but is it proven? The old movement has been around forever and is well established. I love the fact that the new OP has easy link extension....however no white dial is a game changer for me. I really admire the white dial (even black), it never cease to amaze me how beautiful they play the light! If anyone want to show it off, please post pics! I love seeing them.

I am debating if I should buy the discontinued model (No luck so far, all are sold out currently in Canada)..or buy the new one and hope they will release a better dial color in the future (I am set on white dial at the moment). Does anyone think I should just get a newer model and forget about white dial OP34 mm?

Anyways, I apologize if this post is long and sort of rant-like...I just wanted friendly advice from Rolex euthusiasts who are much more well informed than myself. Thank you for reading!

PS. Any 34 mm OP owner here? Are you happy with your purchase? Would you turn back time and wish you held out for a newer OP?
Easy link is a game changer for me having owned two without it!!!

On the waitlist for a new white 34 OP for my wife’s first Rolex. She loves how they changed it with the yellow gold outlines around the markers.
