one word riddle ...

what common english word is 9 letters long and each time you remove a letter from it, it still remains an english word ... from 9 letters all the way down to a single remaining letter?

The word is :

STARTLING

remove the 'L'

and you get

STARTING

remove the 'T'

and you get

STARING

remove the 'A'

you get
STRING

now the 'R'

to get
STING

the 'T'
SING

the 'G'

SIN

the 'S'

IN

then the 'N'

I

pretty cool eh?

Using standard typing techniques (i.e. letters for a given hand), what is the longest word typeable with the left hand only?

Awesome Scrabble words they are, and right you are.

Speaking of Scrabble, what are the legal words that use Q, but no U?
