Picked up some rubbers from AP

A month or two ago I was scrolling through the forums and I came across a post comment about how the new rubber straps for the brand new 44mm ROO line were thinner and lighter then the older rubber straps. I also kind of dig the weave texture as well. So I phoned up AP and two days later the new strap arrived. Ripped open the package and broke out the strap changing tools and this is the result. The new rubber is certainly thinner thus making it more flexible and comfortable on the wrist. The faux weave pattern is kind of cool but I am sure it will be a love hate for some.

One more pic. I'll try and do a side by side picture tonight with the older strap so you can see the difference in the thickness.

Very cool! I like the look and it must be fun to switch it up. Thanks for sharing

The textured strap does match up well with your rainfall style bezel.

Living in pretty much a swamp in Florida the rubber strap choices are perfect and keep it interesting.

That strap looks awesome!
Is it available for the Diver?

Miss the FC I used to have. The coolest watch I've owned.
Still the best looking 44mm IMO

The divers are all 42mm right ? If so this strap would be too large unfortunately.

It is the treatment of ceramic bezel... most of the old pre44 42mm ROOs had this ceramic bezel like yours with texture similar to raindrops... these bezels can be found on first batches of gold, SS, ceramic and carbon 44mm ROOs... now all 44 and 42s have vertical lines brushed ceramic bezels...

Great example of rainfall and vertical lines bezels on these two Divers...

Yes, the Diver is 42mm.

I should have been more specific about whether a strap like that is available for the Diver, rather than if that exact strap would fit a Diver.

The AP site doesn't have anything about strap options, or at least, I haven't found it.

You're welcome ...

And these new straps are really great... considering price, huge profit margin, and that a whole ROO/Concept line use only rubber straps it is strange that AP doesn't offer more options and instant availability in all boutiques for 44 and 42 models...

I thought this strange also. Such a easy thing to make snd sell. I was looking for a Miami blue for my 41mm ROC but have to go aftermarket. Strange why AP doesn’t just pump them out.

Same with Richard Mille... guys with almost unlimited funds struggle to find spare straps...

I have heard crazy numbers on RM and Patek rubber straps being thrown around right now. Here is a side by side picture of a AP factory white rubber strap (older style) compared to the new thinner textured style. Lighting isn't the best.

I saw the new straps last week and really like the design, but I clearly didn't pay enough attention as I wasn't aware that they were thinner than the existing range. Good to know.

The trouble is that at over £300 a go you have to keep using the AP ones multiple times to get value.

Again, good to know, thanks. I definitely liked the look but should have paid more attention to the details.
