Is this normal?

I clean my 15400 almost once a week, by just having it rinsed under running water and then dry it out with a cloth.

Now that it’s a while of doing so, the cloth got these stains which I don’t know from what and how...
any ideas? Is it normal? Am I doing something wrong?

It can be normal depending on the right conditions. If you tend to sweat a lot, live in humid climate, etc. then this can be normal.

You're probably not washing the dirt from the bracelet links if using just water. Use a soft baby toothbrush with soap and warm water. Alternatively get Wrist Clean, which is very good indeed. Apart from anything else, if dirt does build up it will increase wear to the moving parts of the links.

I use wrist clean and their super soft toothbrush works great.
Also, maybe start doing more than once per week

Is that a plain microfibre cloth or one that’s impregnated with cleaning solvents ?

The dark stains left behind look to me like they could be metal rub if there is a polishing compound involved somewhere.

I would suggest trying another cloth, using a soft toothbrush to get the filth out and then just dab dry on a regular towel to remove the excess water.

I forgot to wash my diver off properly after last using it in the sea and it ended up with mineral deposits around it that would not come off without some scrubbing with a toothbrush, but after dabbing dry, back to normal.

I regularly spray my watches with wrist clean, let it sit for a minute and then rinse it, looks the same with all my steel watches. Im guessing it's a combination of dirt and worn metal from the bracelet?

What you are seeing on the cloth is your body oils that build up on the watch from wearing. Body oil on the watch then attracts micro dust and dirt. You wash the watch and then wipe down and the dirt and grime built up comes off on the cloth. Completely normal.
