Incoming Vintage....56175

Good afternoon Gents. So anyone whose been reading my previous posts, may know I've been doing a fair bit of reading up on this watch. Well I finally pulled the trigger with a fair bit of trepidation, and couldn't be happier. A lot of fellow TRF'ers would consider 33mm to be way too small for a man, especially in 2020 but I find this fits like a glove on my very slim 6.25 inch wrists, and captures the essence of the later series 5402's albeit smaller and much much lighter (on the pocket). And to find a 28 year old example in such fine nick (nice sharp edges and just a bit of bracelet stretch), I do feel quite pleased with myself

Thanks! For anyone put off by the smaller sized RO's I have one just word, and that is, Don't! The RO's design means it will always wear larger than the dimensions betray, and if you have average or slim wrists then the smaller models are well worth considering in today's Bonkers priced world where 5402's and 15202's cost an arm, a leg and likely some other body parts!

Congrats! Looks great on your wrist.

If you hasn’t stated the dimensions, I’d have said 38mm as that’s how my watch would sit on my ~6.3” wrist. Wears so much larger than the numbers would suggest.

Great pick up and enjoy it in good health.

Thanks for all the nice comments gents, to be honest I never knew I’d be this chuffed having just paid $11k for an almost 30 year old Quartz watch but guess an AP RO will always be a grail watch, whatever the size or movement!

Yeah, what will all the modern versions getting chunky and the classic ultra-thins being out of reach for the vast majority, these are seriously good value and hoping they will go the way of the other Ultra-thins in the years to come (Not that I ever plan to sell, but its always nice to see on the Asset list).

Cheers. One of the few times I've been glad to have small wrists...not that it's ever put me off enjoying my 44mm Panerai Luminor, or maxi-case GMT Master II
