Early 2020 Hulk vrs Sept 2020 Kermit

I am extremely fortunate enough to be acquiring my new Kermit through AD in the next 2 months. I have a buddy who has an early 2020Hulk which has not been worn. I've always loved the Hulk and since they are now discontinued I think I like it even more. However, the new ones hold up to 70hrs and are 41mm. Would you guys trade or keep the Kermit? I know they are both beautiful watches and wouldn't sell either once I make up my mind. It would eventually go to my 8yr old son way down the road.

I'd trade for the Hulk as opposed to the Kermit. I don't expect to see a sunburst dial on an all steel watch anytime soon. That green dial in particular seems now to be reserved for gold pieces. Sure, you can get a colored sunburst dial on a Bluesy, but Bluesy dials have been in production since the 80s, so the Hulk dial seems rarer (for now).

Not even a close race it’s the Hulk, think about it this way the Kermit will be made for the next 10+ years, they will never make another Hulk!

Wow, I'm kind of surprised not a single vote on the 41mm 70 hr Kermit.

2 months? I've heard that one before!

In all seriousness, I hope you get it, and I hope you swap it for the Hulk. So much more interesting IMO.

Hulk. I like the case and bracelet size on the new model but it’s the sunburst dial on the Hulk that’s the killer feature. It’s the best bit about the watch and they dropped it for a black dial on the new one - makes no sense whatsoever.

In my case I would get the Hulk if I could afford it. The 1 series LV and the 12 series LV don't do it for me. The power reserve is meaningless to me. If it's important to you and you don't want a sunburst green dial, your AD will have something for you shortly.

You can't lose. It's just a question of which one you want. I can't tell you which one you want.

Ok mr thesharkfactor.

I’d go with the Hulk. The new one is just a black face Sub with a green bezel.

new Kermit case shape better and watch wears better IMO but Hulk more collectable now. I also prefer look of Kermit as more understated. If collecting / investing - Hulk, for everyday wear - Kermit.
