Incoming Code
Hi All,
Just wanted to post an incoming that I finally pulled the trigger on the Code. I’ve liked a couple of the original models after I saw them in the flesh back in January, and with the dial update it was enough to get me to dive in. I became a bit smitten with the Chrono model, but decided to step down for the time/date only. While I do really (really) like the Chrono, I wasn’t looking to get into a new watch at the mid/upper $40s price range right now, and being honest there are several other Chronos I currently have and have on my wish list. So, I went with the time/date. I know this is a polarizing watch. Some have warmed up to it, and many have not. To each their own - If there wasn’t a variety of tastes this would be a boring hobby! But, I have to say I genuinely like this and plan to wear it quite a lot. It’s a bit dressy in a way, but also a bit casual in a way. And, it’s a two-tone watch that I feel is executed in a classy way. Hope everybody in the US has a safe Thanksgiving. Cheers to all! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

That looks amazing. AP invited me to the launch party for the Code and I liked it immediately. I’m pleased that the watch is starting to build a fan base.

I think the Codes are beautiful watches and will be purchasing one myself before year end.

Congrats! Excellent choice and looks great on your wrist. The new iterations are so much more striking and attractive. I’m excited to see how the code family will evolve in the future.

Nice. I've been wondering how this dial would go with a grey-ish instead of black strap.

I really like the Kevlar strap. I was worried about some photos I have seen as the “threads” on the strap always looked too large and I was worried that I wouldn’t actually like how the strap looked on the watch in person. I chalk that up to simple close-up details that many camera phones can show now. The Kevlar has a really nice “pattern” and “heft” to it and seems very well made. Given the state of things, I’m trying to make this one more casual and I think this strap does the trick. Make no mistake, the croc strap that comes on it is very nice if you’re trying to go the more dressy route. It’s very easy to get the Kevlar thrown in on the deal. Codes are definitely gaining some steam, but I’m sure you can get whatever straps you want! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I never disliked the CODE series and I don't think it was given a fair shake by many in the WIS game who just sheep-hated on it when it launched. But over time it has grown on me even more and more. I went from thinking OK to liking it a lot and I am now shopping for a chrono CODE myself. Congrats on the new AP. Looks great on your wrist

I've been busy and haven't come on here to play in a while, but it's no shock that Scott's picked up another toy!
Nice choice. I'm not a dress watch person, no need anymore, but I like the Code's, and my liking increases each time I see pictures and each time I get to see one in real life. Nicely done. Congrats and enjoy. |

Congrats! Thats a good looking piece. I never went along with the early hate of the code. This proves there's more to AP than ROs. Enjoy that Beauty!!...

Sheep-hated. That’s a good way of putting it. I never went along with that either and have always quite liked the Code. There is so much nuance to the case and crystal and the chronos are really cool, plus they created one of the best looking perpetual calendars with that amazing aventurine dial. I think there is a lot to love with the entire Code lineup! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Whoa, I have never seen that model of AP before. I really like it!
Legibility (my personal most important thing for watches) of that watch is wonderful. The typeface they used is also cool. Congratulations! |

I agree with you...Not perfect, but not sure what watch fits that description. OK, maybe the new Ceramic Skeleton Thank you! Kevlar strap is great. I really like it and if you take the dive into the Code, I would implore you to get one added in. Quote:

Thank you, and I will! I post most of my watch pics on IG at 'chicagolouped'. They're just random shots and nothing special. I keep saying I'm going to try and take watch photography more seriously but it's still on the "to do" list!! Thank you! Quote:

congrats, looks great on you - love dial. But we all know that you had advanced knowledge of the new openworked CE release and now are on the shortlist :)

Hahahaha!! I assume that going secondary due to impatience is a huge strike against getting an allocation from AP. But, I hold out hope one day that I’d be so lucky to get any ceramic allocation. Time will tell...

Congrats. This watch is terrible in pictures, it really does have to be seen to be appreciated. And on the wrist it is magnificent.
Enjoy. And congrats for not letting the Internet own your mind! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
