Any AP Collectors with “Safe Queens”?
Interested to know whether any TRF members have stowed away special or sentimental AP models - e.g., fully stickered, barely worn, etc.
If so, what’s motivation behind doing so? Pass down, collectibility, future value? |

My only safe queens are vintage pieces that I know are impossible to replace in the condition I have them.
Otherwise, wear it like you stole it! Or something. Wear it like your life depends on it. Whatever. |

Due to pandemic situation, I don’t wear my AP or Grand Seiko very often. I pull them out occasionally just to wear around the house, but just don’t have the business or pleasure occasions to wear them at this time.

No safe queens for me. Wearing the watch is actually the first criteria my pieces must meet in order to stay in the collection.

None here. I do not believe watches, except some vintage models, are an appropriate investment - at least for me. If a watch isn't worn for six months (I keep track), it is sold.

This doesn’t count for sure
I could only fathom keeping a watch in the safe if it was genuinely irreplaceable
