Help with guarantee paper
Hi, I was wondering if you guys here could help me.
I am looking to buy a full set vintage rolex dated 1981, there are two that I have been looking at and their serial numbers are well within the same range (within a couple of thousand of each-other coincidently). I have images of both the punched papers that come with watches but at the bottom right hand corner I noticed that the numbers are noticeably different. I have 3 questions: 1) What do the numbers mean? 2) Why are the fonts of the number different? 3) Are either of them incorrect or look suspicious? Thank you for your help. |

2. Anti-counterfeiting measure, or maybe just a variation from the different suppliers/vendors who printed them, etc. 3. No red flags from those particular pics. There have been several different versions/revisions of the guarantee cert. over the years, and those are both legit "part numbers" for certs of that era. So, I wouldn't have any concerns as long as the watch checks out, and the punched numbers on the cert. match the watch. |
