You would assist tax evasion for only $100?

Looks like my future in the law is looking up. The client list will be endless

Some of the SoCal members of the Breitling Source forum organized a group buy for us through an AD last year. Details were kept to PM's to protect the AD. I was able to pick up 2 Breitlings at a ridiculous discount with no tax through this GB. Of course, BUSA eventually caught on to this and revoked that particular AD's status. So there is a significant risk on their end. But the economy has many ADs desperate right now and the temptation of moving a huge volume of watches could be very tempting!

I'd be all over a Rolex Group Buy. I need that 18kt GMT IIc green dial!
Whoa! Sucks for that AD. (I want a YG DD, diamond dial)

Do you really think Rolex would negatively react to an AD giving a discount in this economic climate? I think Rolex would be happy just to move watches!

Seriously any AD at the moment is going to deal, well at least most will. Just look at the deals in the used market. Now is the time to deal and buy and the OP did just that.

I bet you that if I went to every AD in the Dallas area and laid down the credit card and told them that I want a SS daytona for 20% off and shipped out of state, none of them will deal. Even at 10%, they will not deal. Full price won't be an issue, but why pay full price?

It all depends on the market and the item. There are deals out there, but not everyone is going to get them.

Could it be that Rolex is dumping SS daytonas in anticipation of a redesign for Basel 2010?
