Christmas Presents That You Love (Other than Watches)
This Christmas I was lucky to receive two presents which really stick out. One is my New Mac Mini with Apple Si microprocessor. I'm working on getting it fully set-up waiting for a LG 27 in 5K monitor with sound and cam and a SSD external drive.
The second which wasn't quite as big a prize but has really impressed me it a Bose Wave with SoundTouch. I've wanted a Bose Wave for years but never pulled the trigger on one having heard my first one over 20 years ago. Although not true audiophile quality sound it's quite a step up from the typical Alexa sound quality which I've begun to accept as the standard for listening pleasure. Additionally I love having the ability to use their SoundTouch app which allows remote control of the unit by phone or computer. It also allows for input from external blue tooth or hardwire sources. I realize there are many on the forum who have Sonos systems and I can't talk to the differences or preferences how ever with Bose being a company with a local HQ they seem like a natural. At any rate, I'm curious as to other favorite non watch Christmas presents? |

Nice Bose Wave...I’ve always been happy with my Bose Bluetooth devices.
I’m excited about a Patagonia vest I received. Water resistant, down filled, perfect for winter. |

my grandma bought me some Castelli Sorpasso ros wind bib tights which are weatherproof, water resistant, etc for winter riding and I’m absolutely blown away by the gift. I’ve been riding 4-7days a week in the snow and ice and look forward to shedding some of my heavier gear I’ve been wearing.
I also mentioned upgrading my phone to my grandpa as I’m still using a 6s and my grandma gave me her old 8+. I was going to go to the new SE as it seemed to be good value for money. But this should hold me over for a few more years. I can’t keep up with electronics, as long as they work I’m pretty happy. |

Hmm.....I’m excited about a new cliq chair I got to watch soccer, all of the gift certificates for food I love, picture frames for my girls ever changing art, my new insulated French press, etc..... I basically dig everything I got.
Xmas for me if often about the small things I’ll never buy myself so it’s always a surprise. Sent using Tapatalk |

I got a pair of Duluth Trading Co. Fire hose moccasins and I wore them for every cold day since Christmas Eve. Some slight problems with manufacturing but still kept my feet warm (I have circulation problems).

Surprisingly my fave present was not my Cartier wallet and other bits and pieces but got a Dolce Gusto coffee machine with 7 different types of Americano/Espresso (I cant drink milk so cant get the latte/mochas) - really makes even better coffee than Starbucks/other coffee shops in HK charging HK$50/US$8 for a cup. Fantastic esp for people who WFH & cant use the office coffee machine

My favorite gift was a new pruning saw.
Maybe six months ago, the sweetheart heard me complaining about the old one not being too sharp anymore, and made a note of it.

Airpods. I haven’t had a new apple accessory for a few years. Forgot, how seamless apple products interface with each other.

A new torch, not that I don’t have enough but I love this one. Surefire G2X MV. Also a new Yeti Tumbler in graphite finish that matches the color of my truck.

That Bose system looks great Lee. Perfect for a home office or the like.
One of the favorite gifts I've ever received is this wine opener from my wife. It was a stocking stuffer. We use this every day (insert too much drinking jokes here). It's an absolute pleasure to use and its been part of many many special occasions/meals. We also take it on trips with us and we've made memories with it (similar to watches me thinks) 20210103_083142.jpg Sent from my SM-G960W using Tapatalk |

Easily my big green egg and some of the accessories to go with it. I’ve spent more time looking at recipes than watches which is a lot easier on the wallet.

My favorite gift was the Rancourt boat shoes to replace my Sperry's. Quite the upgrade. Looking forward to warmer weather so I can wear them.
