Which GMT?

Made decision to go w GMT. I think GMT root beer is best 2 tone made by Rolex, but also love Pepsi. Which would you choose?

I have the CHNR and love it. Pepsi is nice but just doesn't appeal to me that much.

Pepsi is cool it goes with more items you wear. How often do you wear brown?

Pre-owned Pepsi with Oyster bracelet would be my pick, makes no sense to me why the current SS GMT has a Jubilee bracelet and the WG model gets the Oyster. My take is none of the sport models should ever be equipped with anything but an Oyster as you are mixing genres. Of course, to each there own...

Turned down CHNR twice waiting for my all-time grail watch and one of the most historic watches in the Rolex lineup: The Pepsi! Had mine for a month after a 3 year wait. No regrets!

CHNR for me. You don’t have to wear brown for it to match. Who cares if it matches. Just wear the freaking watch. It’s amazing! I have the full gold and the two-tone. Love them both. Thinking about finding a oyster flex for the full rose gold one to mix it up a bit.

pepsi, but properly go for the WG version, because the SS models are too pricey for what it is.

Owner of the rootbeer myself. Its by far objectively the most interesting two tone in the professional line, and somewhat avant garde by Rolex standards. Subjectively the look isn't for everyone but it's absolutely for me. Some people do not like this watch while others love it and that alone makes it a winner. Everyone is going to default love a pepsi or a submariner. That's the safe play. The rootbeer is the play for the guy who is gonna keep his watch for 25 years.

The rootbeer gives you just the right amount of flash. Look around you and realize just how many things are brown or go with brown. It's an unappreciated yet incredibly versatile color. I have no problem wearing this watch almost every day. The way it presents in different light settings will keep you looking at it all day. Sometimes it's burnt copper. Then it will show pink and red hues. Of course you get the deep browns too.

Price: the pepsi trades equal or higher and retails for almost 30% less. You can also get the rootbeer at a dealer if you're slick. You can only get the pepsi if you're rich or are willing to potentially die in cue on a wait list. This trend may not continue. The rootbeer will pull ahead as the long term winner on the appreciation front and is a great addition to a collection for its unique appearance and built in controversy.

If we are including the Sky Dweller that's a winner with any dial and an entirely different discussion.

As an owner of the rootbeer I whole heartedly endorse this piece! You will love it!

Also owned a 216570 polar. Another winner. It's all about the white dial on this piece.

Both.

I have the TT CHNR. It's a beautiful and visually rich watch. Owning it has aroused my interest in the SS BLRO which I have now joined a waiting list for. A pair which should compliment each other well.

I would also not dismiss the suggestion of a Sky Dweller. Maybe it's not your kind of watch, but it's a very impressive watch, visually and mechanically. Part of it's strength is its apparent simplicity.
