I own a SubC, SD43, and JC and my ranking in terms of future performance.
1) JC, both in short term due to potential discontinuation and long term due to the unusual dial, Rolex doesn't make colored dials on SS sports models let alone a gradient. 2) SD4K, short run adds to rarity and average size will make it more liquid. 3) Sub, fairly common the most liquid and will appreciate slow but steadily. The S&P index fund of watches. 4) SD43 - 2,3,4 are close really. Some have complained about the protruding case back, I think it's a great size but the size isn't as wearable as 2,3 for an average wrist. I put it last because of less popularity than the sub and ease of liquidation. Sent from my moto g power using Tapatalk |

JC and SD4k have the greatest collectibility potential to me. That said I own an SD4k and really want to add the JC and SD43 to create a three-piece SD collection.

Owning all three watches my favourite is the SD4k.
I find it the most comfortable once the diver extension is removed. The JC is a lovely watch and the dial is lovely however I have knocked mine a few times against objects. The sd43 is a lovely mixture of both and tapers down to make a more balanced watch on the wrist so that you don’t notice the weight and size.

Collectible to the extend of wanting to eventually sell? Prob at height of a bubble and a couple years too late, so may lose money. Not wise imho. But another subject.
Would think at least in that region smaller watches will be easier to shift. Whilst living in the APAC region wrists/people were typically smaller/slimmer than North America or Europe. The 4K sub with the red lines was v cool. Maybe that was two different watches. I forget! |

I owned at SD4K and it was collectible but just not a watch I really wanted to keep. Stop worrying about collectability and focus on the watches you really like to wear; they'll have the best staying power!!!
