Don't make yourself feel like this is a diet or you'll yo-yo endlessly. Change over your way of eating and your cravings will eventually change. Some may not, tho. You will still get that odd sweet craving and what you should do is just go for it. Use Sunday, say, for a day to eat something you like. If you feel like you are doing without then your imagination is going to charge into gear always tempting you.

You are going to feel much better soon. Use a little honey on things instead of the white refined stuff. That will help. I also treat myself to a little piece of dark chocolate or a piece of hard candy. I just don't gobble handfuls of the stuff anymore. Mostly, once you get the exercising dialed in, you'll have a little more leeway with what you eat and won't feel like you are being denied so much. You will see results pretty fast. Once you strip off a little of the extra fat and have been pedaling every day, it won't feel like you have that much diminished lung capacity. Push your body to need more and it will adapt.

good on you Jim! it will take at least a couple of weeks for you to get used to the "new you". quit smoking also helps, so you are on the right track.

i used to drink fuzzy drinks (diet varity - which isnt better than the normal ones apparently) everyday and they werent doing me any favour. i have cut down the amount of fuzzy drinks (soda) and have replaced them with sparkling water. other than that, i only drink water and black coffee. beer sometimes only.

To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers: Rub the bumper with a
rumpled-up piece of Reynolds Wrap aluminium foil dipped in "well known soft drink brand".

To clean corrosion from car battery terminals: Pour a can of
"well known soft drink brand" over the terminals to bubble away the corrosion.

To loosen a rusted bolt: Applying a cloth soaked in "well known soft drink brand" to the rusted bolt for several minutes.

To remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of "well known soft drink brand"into a load of greasy clothes, add detergent, and run through a regular cycle. The "well known soft drink brand" will help loosen grease stains. It will also clean road haze from your windshield.

The active ingredient in "well known soft drink brand" is phosphoric acid. Its pH is 2.8. It will dissolve a nail in about 4 days. Phosphoric acid also leaches calcium from bones and is a major contributor to the rising increase in osteoporosis.

To carry "well known soft drink brand" syrup (the concentrate) the commercial truck must use the Hazardous Material place cards reserved for Highly corrosive materials.

The distributors of "well known soft drink brand" have been using it to clean the engines of their trucks for about 20 years!

Add a very small amount of "Well known soft drink brand" with large amount of Bacardi, repeat until complete loss of awareness and bodily functions combined with a headache the next morning that would kill a civilian, to really appreciate the ill affects of "Well known soft drink brand"

Today I'm grouchy, tired, have a headache and feeling an ache in my lower back/kidney area.

Urgh body and brain function shutting down today.

Feeling a little fuzzywith blurred vision and numbness in fingertips and lips.

Need to introduce more fruit during the day I think to increase blood sugar through fructose.

Diets are bloody awful! Feel like crap before it, feel like crap during!!!!!!!!!

If you are not partial to bicycling, find another type of exercising. Such as walking or swimming would be good alternatives and are not stress bearing on the joints. Also you have a good idea by snacking on fruit/vegetables!!!

I like the cycling...I had to use the car today as I went to see a client.

As it's my b'day tomorrow, it was cake day in the office.

I bought the staff fresh cream chocolate eclairs...I bought myself an oat and almond bar...hrmmph!!!!!!

Jim, I have read where swimming uses the most muscle groups of any kind of exercising and burns the most calories!!!
But my favorite form of exercising is bicycling.....

I aint getting in no swimming trunks.

Seeing my bloated blubbery form in a pair of Speedos at the local pool would increase the lesbianism in my home town!!!!!!!!!!!

Claire still hasn't finished laughing from when I told her I wanted to order a pair of bib shorts (to wear under my joggos and tee).
