Any vets/pet experts (cats in particular)
So I got my cat, adopted at 3 months old from a lday who rescues stray kittens, sets them up in a vet's office and has them up for adoption. This was August 2007. Foolishly, I waited 2 years, and now need to get her spayed. I heard 6 months, another place told me wit til 1 yr old to get spayed. I shouldve done it sooner.
Here's the question: she had her rabies shot and 3in1 3 and 1? Not sure. 1 vet said she need these shots every year. Another vet told me the 3 in 1 is once every 2 years. Online research 1 shot says it's good for life....I don't know who to trust...any experts can help? |

There are a couple different shots you can get. There is a rabies shot that is yearly, and another that is once every 3 years. I have never heard of a shot that lasts a lifetime. Fixing could be done after 6 months, but some vets err on the side of caution and advise on doing it after one year or after they have their first heat. Either way I think you will be fine, Vets are a lot like doctors...they can have varying opinions and differences in applications, but most are still interested in the best for the pet...which is the most important.
