GP sighting on Unusuals TV show.
Last night on the new crime drama the Unusuals one of the cops gave his girlfriend detective a watch that belonged to his grandfather. It was a GP 1945. Later in the show she was in a pawn shop and the Pawn broker offered her $1900 and said nice GP Vintage 1945. It ended up geing stolen during a hold up so a good bit of the show was based on the girlfriend getting the GP back.
I thought it was kind of cool and it showed the watch a couple of times.

I like that show a lot. Amazing the way the words they use to get around certain ones. I think it was the first time I have heard the word "junk" used on tv in a way to suggest certain anatomical parts.
And yes, it was a very nice watch - good catch. I tried to get a look but couldn't figure it out (I must have missed the pawn broker part).

Oh yes GP's are a lovely watch. I was lucky enough to get one at the weekend. Check out my post for pictures.
The accuracy is amazing, we use radio controlled clocks at work. I set me GP tues morning and it hasn't lost a second. Just amazing |
