- F.P. Journe Linesport Thread -
I thought it might be nice to have a thread dedicated to sharing pics of the F.P. Journe Linesport collection.
For many here sports watches are a natural progression from Rolex so I’m sure there’s even more Linesport owners around than we think. Myself I only have the ARS2 thus far but it’s a splendid piece that wears beautifully. So I’ll start Please share your wrist shots of your Linesport here!

Cool piece, Tom! I've been eyeing the rg rattrapante lately, but the size and hollow links put me off a bit. Need to try it on.

Nice watches....might be the right thread to ask - is there actually any Journe sports model below 42mm?

However the linesports are 42mm and 44mm with NO lugs. So the 44 wears like a 41-42 and the 42 wears like a 40. |

Very nice Jin
Imho the 44 wears about 41.5mm but it’s thinner than a Daytona and light as a feather. I’m picky about watches being too big and won’t wear offshores anymore. It’s nothing of the sort here.

the confusing thing that i brought up was its swimmability. i specifically remember journe saying ok for light surface swimming. asked again more recently then they said no. i know the elegante with the screw down at 30m said its ok but weird they changed their tune for the octasport.

Definitely worth trying on. Honestly doesn’t feel large at all. Similar to my 41LV or 806 navi. You know what to do Thanks

I feel you. For me it’s good enough to bathe my toddler son, wash hands etc but I won’t be swimming with it. If I fell into a pool or the lake I wouldn’t worry. Honestly think it would be just fine. I did swim a few times with my 5167/5164/5711 so I’m not immune to that sort of thing either. Regardless I think the line is very much overlooked and provides great relative value.

To be 100 percent honest I was chasing the CMS in ti and came across this. I wanted the newer bracelet and the CMS my dealer had was the original style. Initially kind of bought it as a placeholder and stepping stone but I’ve really come around to it.

I want to like it but I can't get over the poor water resistance and someone's comment about the "pad" forever ruined this watch for me.

And a macro; although I’m not sure it will show up so well given the resolution restrictions.

I have only had mine for about a month and absolutely love it.
It is by far the most comfortable watch I own. The 44mm size was a turn-off until I tried one on at the Boutique in NYC and I think it fits great. My wrist is 18.5cm or 7.25". I did e-mail Journe directly to ask about water resistance and they said it was just fine to swim in a pool or "surface swimming" but would not snorkel or dive with it. I am sure a lot of people don't know this but the clasp has something very similar to Rolex's easy link so you can get a small miro-adjustment on the fly which is great in hot weather. I have had the clasp come undone a few times, so if I had a gripe or two it would be a stronger closing clasp and better water resistance. |

These linesports have grown on me so much over the last few years. I feel pretty certain I end up with one eventually.

Love these and was looking to buy one, but they wear very large, too large on my wrist.
Surprised to hear that there's a waitlist - just over a year ago I tried on one of the discontinued 40mm watches in a (sadly now defunct) London AD. It had been sitting there for at least two years. |

How large is your wrist if I may ask since I also consider one, having a smaller wrist myself. Largest watch I can wear is a 40mm 116710. I guess you tried a 42mm though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
