Possibly. And if you have the original on jubilee you can always source the new oyster. Best of both worlds

I’m jealous of the peeps in this forum who have ADs who will order bracelets and parts on their behalf. I was under the impression this is not possible without returning the original part/bracelet to Rolex.

Rolex has been tight on small/spare parts for close to 20 years now. If there really is an Oyster/Jubilee option you will buy the watch with one or the other and I don’t expect bracelets to be sold as add ons.
(Coming from someone who had to do some real digging to get an Oysterflex for my 116500)

So you’re saying if you buy a DJ on oyster but a few months later you want to change it up and pick up a Jubilee you’re AD wouldn’t be allowed to accommodate you?

They will. They even allow upgrade to diamond dials.

RSC will let you make some swaps depending on what was available on your watch when you bought it. It will usually involve you surrendering your old parts. Very rare for a US dealer to sell you an extra bracelet.
Look in the Rolex Parts classifieds here. New bracelets for sale will be way above MSRP.

I remember when they first moved the GMT to jubilee only and so many were up in arms because they felt it was far better on the oyster.

I like the BLRO on the jubilee better, especially if you're talking the PCL oyster. If its all brushed I still would rather the jubilee for some variety from my Sub but could see that being more of a fan favorite.
