A dive watch on a leather strap makes no sense and silver is not a rugged metal like SS. I feel like Tudor is trying to hard, turning into Omega with all the variations. Makes me appreciate Rolex even more.

Only release i like this year but leather on a diver never make sense to me. It looks nice do. Wish they put it on a Daytona/Aquanaut (quality wise) rubber strap.

Has anyone seen this watch in the flesh yet? The dial and bezel are so much lighter than the press shots suggest. I also think I like the brightness of the silver - it appears lighter than stainless, almost like an aluminium.

Thanks for posting! Yeah, that's a hard pass. A swing and a miss. The OG black/gilt and navy blue are both fantastic. Hard to reinvent the wheel when you're nearly perfect, hence why every sub looks about the same. I think Tudor should have just made a black BB58 without the gilt, that would have been a hit.

The BB 925 I suspect will be the next hard to get piece once it drops. Tudor is a leader not a follower. Taupe is trending in all high fashion areas , clothes, purses , watches and Nike’s.

I might have to disagree. Though the silver is nice, I saw it starting to tarnish underneath by the lugs.

Owners might eventually get annoyed by this and the honeymoon will be over.

Im surprised nobody is really talking about the fact that silver is extremely prone to tarnish. If its brand new and already starting under the lugs in a year the entire case could be brown.

It's been brought up countless times on TRF already. I would be suspect anyone would be able to detect any tarnish on a newly released watch. Not saying it's impossible, but unlikely.

I'm probably the only one who thinks a brown tarnish would look cool with the dial and bezel.

I took a loupe to that movement shot of the 925 Blackbay when I was looking at it the other day, if you look very closely near the upper lug, there's a slight ring of tarnish forming near the screwdown case, I deal with fine silver on a regular basis so I see these things.

Tarnish doesn't affect the value of it as you can get rid of it with vinegar, baking soda, and warm water soaked for a few hrs.

But does a watch guy really want to do this to his BB58 on a constant basis? It would be annoying. Maybe Tudor made this watch to test the TLC of the watch fanatics. Who knows.

Are you sure that’s not the 925 hallmark stamp that you are seeing under the lug?

Flat brown/grey dull dial, solid silver case prone to tarnish and scratch easily. Mmm... I'm not too sure about that one.

Saw the silver up close today pristine impeccable aura, The 18K was walking out the door as I got in and all the Chronos are on hold and likely sold as we speak.

I think it is stunning. Can't wait to see it in real life. While the silver might be a softer metal, it's greyish hue is outstanding. This is such a refreshing change from the 'new black' models, mostly blue and green, which are appearing everywhere. Well done Tudor!

I think this watch is either love it or hate it, and I love it! Probably won’t get it, but I do love it.

I personally don’t think the current black dial BB58 is that interesting. People love that watch and I don’t get it. Seen it in person and it didn’t do anything for me.
