Oyster Pepsi GMT or Jubilee version?

Now that Rolex has introduced the Oyster bracelet for the Pepsi GMT alongside the Jubilee, what would be your pick?

Jubilee fits the watch’s function better, at least for me. It’s not for sports and I don’t like polished center links in steel. I prefer all brushed bot that is very subjective.

Jubilee with an oyster on the side. That would boost sales (like Rolex needs that!). I want options.

Still like the jubilee option, but both will be next to impossible to get through the AD.
I was told that there are 270 other people on the waiting list ahead of me for the Pepsi GMT. I won't see it until the next GMT update

I think I’d be tempted to buy the oyster bracelet if it’s interchangeable but I do prefer the Jubilee. If it was fully brushed.. no doubt oyster.

If I were Rolex, I would allow customers buy extra bracelet if they wanted to, the more they sell the more they make money.

They do allow that. Any AD that claims otherwise is incorrect.

I just put my name down at my AD to get the oyster. He took my information but, as ADs go, I doubt I'll ever get the call, even though I have the watch.

They allow it under certain conditions. They would usually permit ordering a replacement for the bracelet vs. just ordering a bracelet because you wanted an extra one or if you wanted to order an oysterflex, etc.

Most would default you to talk to RSC to order this vs. an AD. They are the ones that usually permit or deny your request.

Believe you should have the right watch the bracelet is for before they sell you it. For example you can't order OF if you don't own an OF watch else you can take that OF and sell it, put it on your sub decreasing the impact later on if they decide to put it on a sub or just using it to make fakes.

Too many spare parts and franken watches around devalues the brand.

Oyster, but where can you find one without paying a 100%+ markup?

I've been wearing a GMT for decades.

Since the beginning it has been very popular to find a Jubilee band if you had an Oyster.

Historically the GMT has been offered with either and so it is refreshing to see things getting back to sensible.

I hated it when only Jubilee was the only option available... although after seeing some in the "real world" I've come to like it more than Oyster. To me the PCL is a deal breaker for that watch... I would LOVE it with the SUB bracelet...

Rolex officially allows it under the condition you have the watch. It is an official option under this model number, so you can buy a second band that conforms with the model number. For this GMT II there is no oysterflex option, or other options besides steel oyster and jubile. There is no approval or permitting or denying. If you are getting any other info anywhere else, you are getting incorrect info.

Good to know - I love my 126710BLNR on jubilee, but there are certain occasions where I feel the jubilee adds a touch too much ‘dress’, and so I reach into the box for another piece.

Whilst I personally wouldn’t pay what Rolex likely want for just a bracelet, I’m sure there are many out there who would value the variety that’s now available.

Yeah! I like that there is the option for both now. I think the Oyster is around 1800CHF and the Jubilé 1900CHF.

Jubilee, keep it classic.

The lowly steel metal need not pretend to look like the White Gold iteration of the Pepsi GMT Master 2 by having an Oyster bracelet.

For the Batman? Fine.
