1st Rolex DJ 116234
Hi,
I'm Peter, last Saturday I bought my first Rolex, wow I never thought I would own one. Now I'm looking forward to my second, I like the millgaus. I bought it at the Tourneau Time Machine in NYC. I bought a Tag Carerra from them over the summer and a few years ago I bought a Tudor Monarch. My first question is what quality of white gold is the bezel likely made of 18K, thats my guess. Second question is the watch is running fast. I put it away Sunday, but Monday to Tuesday it was 5 minutes fast in 1 day. Yesterday it was 18 seconds, today about 5 seconds, I'll see how it wakes up tomorrow. I set the time according to my cell phone time (is that a good idea?). You folks think this is part of the break in period? I know I pay a premium for buying @ tourneau, but the peace of mind I get knowing that the piece is authentic is worth it. How long should I wait before I take it in, right now I'm thing I would like an exchange instead of a repair/adjustment. With what they cost you would think it would be accurate right away. Finally some thoughts. I always felt that a Rolex is for someone who has excelled in their carreer, for someone who's made it. And thought I have other nice watches I would refrain from buying a Rolex untill I reached the epitome of my carreer, but recently I began thinking, hey you know what maybe I have made it and maybe I should but one, so I did and I'm very happy. I'm so glad I ran into this sight I've been on it all day and will monitor it constantly, thanks in advance for your presence. Peter |

Welcome Peter, I hope you will continue to enjoy your Rolex and the Forums.
Let your watch settle down for a couple of weeks, to see how it runs. No worries there. You can get it adjusted by Rolex without charge during the first 2 years from purchase.

Hi,
Would love to post pic, but the instructions available show how to add urls to a pic/file location. Hate to ask a question that has been asked many times but how do I insert a pic in the body of a post? thanks, Peter |

Welcome Peter and congratulations with your first Rolex
I think you`ll like it here. You came for the watches, but stay for the people As to the picture part, do you have a photobucket account? If so you simple copy the link that says IMG in front of it and Voila! -Ram |
