My new Explorer runs a bit warm. While I don't expect quartz like precision I do think 7-9 seconds fast per day is a bit too far. Granted it hasn't reached the point where the dial should just indicate day or night, I just would like to tighten things up a tad. I have worn the watch for about two months to see if it would settle in. But as it still running fast I'll let the guys pop the hood and check it out.

My hope-

1) The watchmaker does no harm such as scratches the case.
2) A simple tweak is all that is needed. The watch is new and from an AD so if he opens it up and it looks like a raccoon crawled there and crapped in it, it will be covered .
3) As I ordered my watch from an out of state dealer unseen it would be the ultimate raw deal for it to be a fake.
4) Silliness aside, I'm hoping for some of this Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified accuracy that Rolex is so quick to advertise.
5) That the lunch special is a garden salad with seared Ahi tuna.

Should not be a problem its only about a 30 minute job start to finish a very simple procedure with a timing machine.

Just mention you will be looking for springbar scratches on the back of the lugs so they tape them before removing the bracelet. I HATE those scratches from a careless watchmaker.

He can also try to remove the case without taking off the bracelet , so he can do more damage that way ....

As it turned out my Dad (M series SS Sub Date and a M series Polar EXPY2) treated me to a sushi lunch! After that we went a looked at a SD. Thanks Dad!
