Don't expect it to be glowing like new Tritium all night.... every Lume compound fades to a dim glow after an hour. . . . but in a dark room, awaking from sleep, you should be able to see it.

Thanks for the insights, this has been interesting. I've spent the last several years trying to love this watch. Everything about it appeals to me. The 40mm non-maxi case with ceramic, that it's not the more well known sub, etc. I just haven't been able to connect with it on the wrist the way I envisioned in my head. I also had the 16600 and SD43 and moved those both. SD43 just wasn't comfortable and I kept the SD4K over the 16600. In my latest SD quest I've just picked up the JC D-blue and am loving it despite years of being scared of its size and thinking I would not like it (so basically the opposite of the SD4K experience!). So now reconsidering what to do with the SD4K. Keep trying to love it or finally let it go and perhaps regret it down the road.
