Change Dial

I just purchased a new Datejust with a white gold bezel and Jubilee bracelet. It has a silver dial. I wanted blue but not available. Can Rolex sc change a dial to another color or is that asking for a problem?

I believe they will change the dial, at cost for the new dial and change fee, if the blue dial originally came on that particular model number.

In addition, ask RSC.

They changed their policy 2 years ago in the UK

No dial change on certain models. I.e. Daytona / SkyD

If dial changes permitted, they will only do it as part of a service, around the typical interval.

The last one is contentious, but I've seen this topic here a few times and you get different answers from different RSC's / ADs around the world.

Just changed a datejust ii from silver to black. Normal service cost plus 350£ for the dial.

Dunno if they would do it If the watch is brand new though.

You can get a dial aftermarket which will probably hsvr to be purchased at abut of a premium (over Rolex prices) and just have a local watchmaker change it.

Yes, RSC will change a dial, have had it done on a new DJ, if you let them them keep your current dial, and replace with new dial, it was about 30% cheaper.
That new dial had to be already available on that particular model though.

Does it affect value in resell? Like if the white face Daytona is worth for argument sake 3 k more then black dial. Then buy black dial and change for $500 at RSC (again I don’t know real cost ) and resell and make you 3k. So my question is if a white panda Daytona sells for 34 k can a dial swapped Daytona fetch the same ? Or will people or dealers give is use because the reference on card won’t match the actual watch after the swap? Again assuming Rolex would do it even for Daytona. Same concept with submariner.

Yes, but they won't charge for a service if it is brand new. Only dial cost + work done.

I think I read about something Geneva special here...
I don't know about DJ Blue dial, but I hear that RSC won't swap YG Daytona white dial to green dial since green dial is very hard to come by.
