Yes, except for those baton markers, I would rather see shorter ones like in the original 1655, or round plots.

Make a modern 42mm version of this and everyone would buy one!

Yuck. Horrible dial. The original was so hard to read that they completely redesigned it and for good reason. Don't bring it back. The current one is fantastic. JMHO

Ah, those unmistakable phantom hands, the one feature that distinguishes the Exp.2 from the rest of their watches!

No thanks. I prefer the current one. This looks tacky as hell imo.

Current one is great as it is, I just wish they had made it 39mm but called it a 41 :-)

Nasty - doesn't even look like a Rolex.
I love the all previous versions of Exp II.
Rolex are a forward thinking and moving brand lets leave it to Tudor and Omega to dig backwards with old designs and faux patina lume vibe stuff.

I tied on the outgoing model with the matte dial at my AD. I wasn’t a fan..... the new one with gloss dial should be a big improvement.

As much as I dislike customised watches in general, I have to say that Blaken have made what I consider to be THE perfect modern Exp II. Made out of a genuine Rolex Exp II, with a reworked bezel and dial, and a customised hour and minute hand.

Why ON EARTH Rolex didn't do this themselves with this years (ahem) "update" is absolutely beyond me as it would've been the perfect 50th anniversary model!

The only downsides of this IMO are the £18K price tag, and the fact that Rolex will never touch it again. But my god I think it's an absolutely spot-on Exp II update.

All I wanted different was 40mm, like the first one. The rest looked gtg.
