Not all RSC is owned by Rolex
I learned something new today. Perhaps this is why service quality varies....
https://watchesbysjx.com/2021/05/rol...n-atelier.html "Rolex World Service encompasses the brand’s global after-sales service network, which is primarily made up of Rolex subsidiaries but occasionally run by third-party distributors in certain markets."

Quite true but they all got to comply with RSC service and use the same tools, but they do not service all Rolex watches some are still RSC only.

+1, great read! Thank you for sharing.
It looks like Rolex revamped their website in terms of the servicing details, video user guides showing how to set/operate watch, and FAQs. Much more detailed now. I quite enjoyed the video user guides of setting each watch. |

We used to have one such service center in Chicago, Sutters. Still exists, but no longer a "Rolex Authorized Service Center" and sign now just says "Rolex Specialists" since Rolex seems to have discontinued that relationship. Not sure whether there are others like it still.

My AD can service and repair Rolex watches to RSC accredited standards and supply a warranty on the work, as would a RSC. But only up to a point. Some work needs to go to the mothership.
They fixed a faulty Z-Blue under its original 5 year warranty for me last year. Took four days. Would have taken in the region of 8 weeks had it needed to go back to the main UK RSC. |
