Are you anal about your watch.?
No its not a porn thread.
How anal are you over your watches. you only wear them on special occations your forever polishing them you have them lined up like photo's of your family you change the straps more often than your undercrackers you quote model numbers instead of names to show people "you the man" or do you just wear the watches myself I guess there's a little anal in all of us "right!" |

I don't baby my watches, Now as far as special wear goes, I wear a Chronograph to work and use it at work, once I am off the air and after a work out I am likely to change to a different watch, the past few months that has been a Sea Dweller, I wear my GMT once a month and at shooting meets(for good luck) I do buff them from time to time but that is because they are all used hard.

As "un-anal" as poster above may claim to be.....
their replies have been made on a Rolex watch owners forum, which in itself is a direct admission of "anality"..... |

Is a Rolex really only 'just a watch'? Would you pay that amount of $$$ for 'just a watch'?
Yeah I'm pretty anal on my watches but I don't polish them all the time cause it wears down on the finishes.

I HAVE polished my center links once on my SS Daytona. Just to see how a Cape Cod Cloth would perform.
My SD is worn during everything I do and has nerver been polished. I have worn my SD during: Golf, Gym, Snowboarding, riding my HD, Mountainbiking, swimming, splitting wood, cutting grass, showering, sex and it looks great!!!! I only take it off during sleep and when I wear the Daytona. The Sea Dweller is "bad ass"!!! BTW, I still don't know the numbers of most of the models. Too many other numbers to remember in my head and I don't want to push those numbers out and replace them with Rolex #. Only limited brain cells remaining after college. I don't want to over work them!!!! |

I'm anal enough to spot polish every few months and occassionally spend more time figuring out which watch to wear than actually getting dressed.

I nicked the edge of my SD, I don't know how, but I've been so disheartened I haven't worn it for about 6 months.
I am so paranoid about bracelet stretch on my DD that I have not worn it in about a year. I was riding my motorcycle the other day and it started to rain, I thought "Oh no my watch" and my heart skipped a beat until I realised I was wearing my Submariner. Yeah I'm definitely chilled

Not at all. The only thing I get paranoid over is stretching.

In the morning I just reach in and grab one for the day......... If they get dirty, I stick my arm out the window in the carwash............

I'm always carefull and keep them clean, but they are a tough watch, I've put my DJ through hell and back and its looks the part, I did sell my DD a couple years ago, I did wear it daily until I nicked the case, didn't wear it after that so sold it off :-)

i wear my deep sea 24/7 do not take it off at any time apart from when it went to the Rolex hospital...
My watch gets a good beating all the time, not bothered if it gets scratched or damaged, will put it into accident and emergency and get DR Rolex to sort it out. the only sad part its like private medicine it costs you a bloody fortune.... |

Wear it (it is only one for now) everyday.
Swim with it 3 times a week so I do not even have to clean it. It is just a Rolex watch. everyone
