If you would have said Sub no-date vs SD, it would be a tougher choice for me. However, even in that scenario......I would go SeaDweller. If I could only keep one of my Rolexes, it would be a SeaDweller.

And no date distortion.

SD.
I've worn my SD much more than my sub date and it sits on my wrist better.
I thought the thickness was going to be an issue and it turned out not to be with proper bracelet sizing.

Hi, you have 2 iconic timepieces on your list, won't be wrong with either, its a matter of which one set your heart thumping when you put it on... go try both, 1 on each hand, you will FEEL the difference... and the winner will emerge.. Remember to post the pic upon acquisition..

Why does the SD give the illusion of appearing abit smaller than the sub date?

The face of the SD is ever so slightly smaller than the sub.

I went for the SD last year and love it.

I have had both and sold the Sub to keep the Sea Dweller....google "Rolex Sea Dweller" I think you will find a lot of love out there from the watch nuts. (WIS Community)
